Petron Corporation’s excellence in corporate governance was recognized at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Arrow Awards of the Institute of Corporate Directors. The company received two Golden Arrows during the event held on January 20.
The Golden Arrow is awarded to the top Philippine publicly listed companies that exhibit conformance with the Philippine Code of Corporate Governance and internationally recommended corporate governance practices based on the ACGS that uses publicly available disclosures on a company’s website. The assessment measures the companies’ performance in key corporate governance areas such as shareholder rights facilitation, transparency, accountability in disclosing material information, and board performance, among others.
Petron also received a Golden Arrow award during the last awards ceremony prior to the above January 20 event for its 2019 corporate governance performance.
