Accountant

Job Function: Ensures the effective and efficient handling of accounting concerns in either of the following groups, payables, attest, credit, operations finance, and tax. Prepares various management reports, particularly financial statements.

Business Systems Architect (SAP FICO)

Job Function: 

  • Responsible for managing IT systems supporting Petron’s financial departments, ensuring both technical and functional effectiveness
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of SAP and non-SAP applications used by Controllers, Treasurers, and Planners

Job Requirements:

Chemist

Job Function:

  • Conducts tests of in-process materials, finished products, and other samples according to established work instructions.
  • Provides support to laboratory analysis in achieving materials/product testing plans including preparation of samples/reagents and routine calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.

Cost Engineer

Job Function: 

  • Responsible in leading estimating efforts to ensure optimum costing of service station projects.
  • Define Cost Estimate Scope: Define the project scope, time period, phases to be estimated, communication channels, and establish any boundaries for estimates or project requirements. Estimates are typically completed in 24‐48 hours.
  • Define Assumptions or Constraints: Identify any schedule or budget constraints, and how those will be resolved. Identify everything defined in the scope to be costed.
  • Consolidate and Monitor Estimate Data: Collect and monitor estimate assumptions/data. Periodically update unit costs.
  • Develop Cost Estimating Relationships: Use cost data to develop formulas/equations entered into the cost model. Formulas/Equations will be the basis for estimating costs as a function of RNEM systems and service level.
  • Document Approach: Provide documentation for each cost element, indicating sources of data, assumptions used and any other methodology or analysis.
  • Finalize Cost Estimate: Finalize the cost estimate. Maintain all files, data related to this project.

Job Requirements: 

  • Must possess a degree in Engineering and must be a licensed engineer.
  • Must have at least 3 years of working experience in costing and construction project management.

Finance Supervisor

Job Function: 

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, cash management, and reconciliation activities

IT Auditor

Job Function:

  • Assist in planning and lead/perform controls assessment/evaluation of IT systems, applications, security and general controls (i.e., assess design and test operating effectiveness).
  • Help develop the IT assurance strategy aligned with the current and future risks.
  • Benchmark the IT risk management programs with other businesses and best practices.
  • Act as the go between Internal Audit and IT for matters such as information security, change management, access controls, etc.
  • Perform process or operations audits as needed and assist in ad hoc investigations and advisory risk and control services to operational management, as required.
  • Progress the data-based risk identification program, where possible and applicable.
  • Support the Internal Audit Managers and Head in other areas of promoting good governance and risk management within Petron (and the wider SMC Group, as needed).

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a degree in Accounting/Accountancy, Internal Audit or Information Technology related courses.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) certifications required.
  • IT internal audit experience with relevant experience in but not limited to IT general and application controls, IT security and data protection, change management, logical and physical security, back up and disaster recovery, business continuity, and data analytics.
  • Good understanding of information security standards and best practices and comprehensive understanding of internal control environment within the IT function.
  • At least five (5) years IT auditing experience in the Big 4 or in a major local or international organization.

Procurement Associate

Job Function:

  • Purchase assigned commodities at the most competitive terms and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment and supplies while complying with the company’s purchasing policies and procedures

Property Officer

Job Function:

  • Assists in management of lots owned or leased by Petron
  • Prepares and manages all documents of the lots in assigned areas
  • Coordinates with government offices for documentations needed
  • Handles lease negotiation for renewal and new COSS sites and depot/terminal sites
  • Conducts due diligence on ownership documents (TCT, tax decs, RPT payments, etc)
  • Prepares lease kits and lease agreements
  • Discusses lease provisions with lessor
  • Ensures timely payment of leases
  • Coordinates with counterparts in RS, NDG, NFB, Operations Group on details related to the lease and lease provisions

Refinery / Depot Technician

Job Function: Ensures the safety and efficiency of equipment and facilities operations in processing crude oil into various petroleum products. Monitors the efficiency of product deliveries to be stored in Petron depots.

Retail Business Systems Manager

Job Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 3 years of IT Systems, Sales, or Marketing experience, and at least 1 year of Project Management experience.

Job Description:

  • Oversee the Petron Retail IT systems operation including POS systems, Fleet management, e-Fuel and Loyalty systems, Terminal application/devices and back-office, across all locations for both in-store, head office and cloud solutions.
  • Lead the update and maintenance of all hardware and software systems, ensuring integration of retail platform with the data warehouse, SAP and dealers tools for smooth and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with retail sales teams to implement new technologies, requirements, features, change request that enhance the retail sales, dealers and motorist experience.
  • Work with the vendors for the procurement, setup, and maintenance of POS hardware and software. Ensuring the POS are well supported and functioning correctly across all service station location
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead efforts to protect the company’s sensitive data, including customer information, financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., BIR).
  • Oversee the Retail IT department’s budget, ensuring cost management while still meeting the needs of the business.

Retail Services Assistant

Job Function:

  • Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making processes, improving business strategies, and solving problems within the group.
  • Support the budget, planning, and contracts administration for the retail trade.
  • Serves as the custodian for all retail systems, procedures, manuals, and standards, ensuring everything is organized and accessible.

Shift Programmer

Job Function:

  • Handles 24/7 monitoring and ensuring 100% delivery fulfillment nationwide controlled by Operations Division.
  • They will also handle all intervention requests by the customers to ensure sufficient supply during emergency cases.
  • Terminal dispatchers will be functionally reporting to the Shift Programmer to have close coordination in the fulfillment of deliveries. 
  • ln cases of supply disruption, the shift programmer also assists the Terminals in diversion program, product allocation, etc., while ensuring that service stations are kept with products to sell and minimize/avoid run outs.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of any engineering course/ with an engineering background.
  • Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in a similar field but not necessary.
  • Must be highly analytical and must have intermediate to high competency in excel and other windows-based applications. Knowledge of VBA and programming is a plus.

Technical Infrastructure and Operations Manager

Job Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business Administration or any other related courses
  • Must have at least 10 years of proven experience as a Technical Manager or similar managerial role handling client-server, cloud, data communications and technical operations
  • Must have a working knowledge of Operations Framework and ability to apply its’ concepts to Systems Operations and Maintenance

Job Description:

Technical Operations:

  • Coordinates and monitors all the work activities pertaining to the technical aspect of business systems (ERP and non-ERP), the network (WAN, LAN, and cloud) and data communications, system integration, Internet/Intranet, and other services.
  • Reviews the result of annual capacity planning on the projected future loads and capacities of existing computer resources. Prepares recommendation, for higher level approval, if there are any changes required to upgrade existing resources.
  • Reviews recommended or develops and recommends control, safety, security and recovery procedures covering IT platforms and network facilities. Implements applicable remediation activities coming from IT security, audits, IT inspections.
  • Formulates/designs and implements policies, operating procedures and performance measurement standards designed to improve and maintain the staff’s efficiency, high quality of work output and acceptable level of productivity.
  • Recommends changes/revisions to operating procedures that may directly affect the operations of the different operating groups consequent to the installation of new computer hardware equipment and/or implementation of new operating environment.
  • Reviews recommended or formulates and recommends new or changes to internal policies, operating procedures on client-server/cloud platform, network/data facilities and communications.

Infrastructure and Implementation:

  • Keeps abreast of technology and formulates plans to implement applicable technologies for a more efficient and more cost effective operations of the company’s IT infrastructure.
  • Initiates projects that will further improve the effectiveness and management of information system on a corporate-wide basis. Coordinates with various operating groups to ensure that the facilities and technical support needed from MISD are in place to sustain the continued growth and functioning of the company’s Information Network.
  • Formulates and design the required technical infrastructure necessary to support the departments IT initiatives. This includes not only hardware requirements, but also the attendant systems that need to be put in place for maximum productivity and security of the system.
  • Designs, develops and administers the Wide Area Network (WAN) of Petron and its outlets including all servers, switches, routers, hubs and other devices to the WAN.
  • Recommends selection of IT platform, configuration, capacity, computing power and flexibility for subsequent upgrading.
  • Recommends for higher level approval the acquisition, disposal, replacement, upgrading of IT platform and systems, as well as applications and software based on economic and technical feasibility, projected improvements in resource utilization and processing efficiency.

Work Management:

  • Coordinates/confers with the Managers of other sections of MISD to facilitate proper coordination of work activities, synchronization of project timetables/targets, and clear delineation of each section’s responsibilities in any project undertaking.
  • Confers with line managers regarding any proposed system development and/or plan to set up computing facilities for their operations.
  • Reviews, revises and approves IT project proposals, priorities and schedules based on corporate and departmental thrusts and objectives.
  • Prepares and recommends budget provisions for operating and capital expenditures to maintain and sustain the company’s computing requirements.

Line Management:

  • Reviews staff’s weekly reports on the status of their respective group’s projects and work activities.
  • Performs post-facto review of job/project accomplishments submitted by staff to ensure consistent compliance with standard operating requirements.
  • Recommends staffing requirement, hiring, transfer, replacement and promotions to maintain the availability at all times of technically competent personnel.
  • Reviews/approves and implements training plans for staff. Attends selected internal and external training/seminars, technical exchanges/conferences and computer exhibits/conventions for professional development purposes.  Uses authorized membership in a professional organization as medium for developing own skills.
  • Prepares and submits to MISD Head monthly consolidated progress report on major accomplishments, planned projects, status of on-going projects and work activities of the section. Included are statistics and appraisal of staff’s work performance during the month.
  • Prepares the annual performance appraisal and forced ranking of staff, operating and capital expense budgets, training and vacation leave schedules for the section. Reviews/approves legitimate expense statements of staff within authorized approval limits.                 

Special Assignments:

  • Lead technical recovery efforts during invocation of the departments Business Continuity Plan.
  • Act as member of the Information Security Steering committee to direct policy development, management review.
  • Performs other related jobs/special projects that may be assigned by the MISD Head. Makes himself/herself available on-call any time to perform duties and/or assist in any work exigency or as backup/OIC for a designated function within MISD.
Terminal Engineer

Job Function: Assists in supervising and controlling the entire depot operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree / PRC License in Mechanical, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering
