Petron Tacloban Terminal receives Pag-ataman han Kalibungan Award from DENR Region 8

Petron Tacloban Terminal was given recognition at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 8 Pag-ataman han Kalibungan Awards held in June 19. The Environmental Award was given in honor of DENR’s 38th anniversary, to select external stakeholders who have made significant and consistent contributions to the environmental sustainability programs of the agency.

Petron was nominated by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region 8, alongside other notable organizations in the area such as UP Halcyon, Energy Development Corporation, and the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers San Juanico Chapter. The award was presented by DENR Regional Executive Director Arturo N. Salazar together with the Assistant Regional Directors and EMB Regional Director Alexis Jimenez.

Tacloban Terminal Manager Allan Indic received the award on behalf of the Terminal, along with Tacloban General Clerk Jovelyn Llanes. The Terminal has long been a champion of environmental conservation and sustainable practices as part of the company’s broader ESG initiatives.

Mr. Indic gives credit to the Terminal Ecowatch Program, which he cites as having played a “vital role in educating and empowering [the Tacloban Terminal, enabling it to] engage in meaningful environmental initiatives — ultimately opening doors to recognitions like this.”

Congratulations to the Tacloban Terminal for receiving this honor!
