Job Function: Ensures the effective and efficient handling of accounting concerns in either of the following groups, payables, attest, credit, operations finance, and tax. Prepares various management reports, particularly financial statements.

Job Requirements:

Job Function: Responsible for the preparation of various management reports particularly financial statements.

Area Engineer

Job Function: Implements service station maintenance, repair, and construction projects and monitors performance of preventive maintenance of contractors.

Area Sales Executive

Job Function: Carries out marketing and selling activities of company products in a specific area of assignment. Promotes and nurtures strong relationships with key customers.

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering and any business-related course
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, and network expansion

Budget and Economics Engineer

Job Function: Prepares, consolidates, and conducts analysis of the Refinery’s CAPEX and OPEX programs.  Conducts evaluation of medium-term and long-term Refinery investment programs, for the preparation and justification of the Refinery’s capital and operating expense requirement, and for overseeing the effective implementation of the project handling process and procedures.

  • The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree and a professional license in Chemical Engineering
  • Must have at least 2 years of work experience in project management and planning

Business Planning Analyst

Job Function: Monitors and evaluates developments and trends in the local and global business environment that may impact the company’s performance and programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree preferably in Economics and Accountancy
  • Must have at least 2 years of work experience in the related field. Experience in corporate planning or business development is an advantage.

Compliance and Licensing Engineer

Job Function: Advises and assists the Environmental Impact Assessment Coordinator on matters pertaining to the legal and technical environmental aspects of the overall refinery operations, environmental data analysis, resource conservation, and the evaluation and primary design of projects to improve the efficiency and safety of operations, environmental compliance and/or support additional requirements in terms of the environmental performance of the refinery.  Handles PDEA reports and license renewals, MMT and CMVR, as well as Chemical Management which includes PCL Certificate renewal, PICCS verification, and SQI applications.

Job Requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree and a professional license in Chemical Engineering
  • Must have basic knowledge in documentation and compliance with common environmental laws and must possess the ability to easily get along with government agencies and local government units

Chemist

Job Function: Conducts tests of in-process materials, finished products, and other samples according to established work instructions.  Provides support to laboratory analysis in achieving materials/product testing plans including preparation of samples/reagents and routine calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.

Electrical Engineer

Job Function: Provides project engineering services and assists in other engineering services such as inspection and testing, maintenance services, plant monitoring, testing, optimization and improvement, and engineering documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree and a professional license in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have at least 2 years of related work experience preferably in the Petrochemical industry
  • Must be knowledgeable in cost estimation, Philippine Grid Code and Energy Regulatory Commission Rulings,

Equipment and Maintenance Planner

Job Function: Monitors the maintenance and upkeep of critical equipment; prepares and implements contracts; review inspection results to come up with equipment repair methodology and procedures.

  • Must have at least 1-year work experience in Terminal operations and equipment maintenance

Equipment Reliability Engineer

Job Function: Develops and oversees the implementation of plans and programs focused on the mechanical integrity and reliability of the stationary equipment in his area of assignment.  Provides the technical support and assistance needed by both Operations and Maintenance especially those that help ensure the continuous and safe operation of the OM&S and Marine facilities.

Job Function: Provides customer assistance and technical support in relation to the use, application, and acceptance of Petron products. Markets performance chemicals and consultancy services; manages the collection of sales; and formulates sales objectives

Job Function: Oversees the operations of the assigned equipment and/or filling line. Ensures that all outputs guarantee quality products by performing quality control checks at critical points in the line.

IT Specialist

Job Function: Conducts analysis of the business process information requirements of the proponents, develops corresponding IT application systems, and configures off-the-shelf software systems to meet the said requirements. Creates technical specifications and develops programs to address software gaps in end-user requirements.

Marine Operations Supervisor

Job Function:

  • Responsible for providing day-to-day Marine Operations Engineering support to the OM&S (Oil Movement & Storage) and Terminalling section.
  • Advises and assists the OM&S & Terminalling Manager on matters concerning operational strategies involving crude receipt, storage and product loading & receiving in accordance with weekly operating plan and schedule. 
  • Supervises the operation of PBR product piers, and onshore and offshore facilities

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree or Professional License in the courses of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

Armando V Fuentes Jr. - Regional Sales Manager

Over my past 30 years of service in Petron, I have been assigned to handle several assignments. I started as an Administrative Systems Analyst. In 1984, I was temporarily assigned as Corporate Planning Analyst in the now defunct Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) Marine Corporation, a shipyard and shipbuilding affiliate of PNOC. A year later, I assigned as Area Sales Executive for Petron Gasul’s industrial sales. I assumed several sales positions later on before being assigned as Sales Coordinator in 2000 and being promoted to Gasul Luzon Industrial and Technical Manager and North Luzon Reseller Manager. Today, I am the Area Sales Manager for South Luzon.

Throughout this long path and the numerous positions, I could say that I chartered a very challenging but fruitful and fulfilling career in a company which has more than adequately provided for my family’s needs. With Petron, there was never any worry about the future because the company has always been there to support me and has compensated me well for the service that I have rendered. Although the work can be taxing sometimes, my colleagues and friends have been very valuable in developing my well-being as an individual, a professional, and a Petron representative.
