Safety is a way of life in Petron. Our passion towards safeguarding life stems from our commitment to the Filipino.

We adhere to the strictest and most rigorous globally-recognized standards on quality management, environment management, occupational health, and safety management. Thus, we continuously strive towards having all our facilities certified by International Organization of Standardization (ISO) and Integrated Management System (IMS).

As of 2011, our Bataan Refinery holds ISO and IMS certifications. Our depots and terminals all hold ISO certifications; 18 of them hold IMS certifications.

We believe that obtaining these certifications will not only enhance our competitiveness and corporate reputation, but also help us serve the Filipino more efficiently and safely.

  • PERSONNEL ACCREDITATIONS

    • ŸOSH PRACTITIONERS AND CONSULTANTS
      Accredited by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and authorized to practice as such in the field of Occupation safety and health in the Philippines within the validity period.
    • ŸŸPOLLUTION CONTROL OFFICERS
      Accredited by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) pursuant to requirement of DENR Administrative Order # 26 dated June 29, 1992 of DENR.
    • ŸŸPORT FACILITY SECURITY OFFICER
      Accredited by the Department of Transportation and Communications-Office for Transportation Security (DOTC-OTS) for all Depot Superintendents and Terminal Managers who are managing Petron owned-and-operated piers or berthing facilities permitted by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) pursuant to the competency requirement of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
    • ŸFIRE SAFETY PRACTITIONERS
      Accredited by the Bureau of Fire and Protection of the Philippines (BFP) pursuant to the requirements of Division 3 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of RA9514 otherwise known as Fire Code of the Philippines.
    • ŸMANAGEMENT SYSTEM AUDITORS
      Certified internal auditors and lead auditors for various management systems such as Quality Management System (ISO9001:2008), Environment Management System (ISO14001:2004), and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS/ISO18001:2007).

    • ŸOHSAS/ISO18001: 2007 (OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
      Third party certification of organization's management system that sets and enforces mandatory Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards to eliminate or reduce OSH hazards in all workplaces and institute new and update existing programs to ensure safe and healthful working conditions in all place of employment.
    • ŸŸISO14001:2004 (ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
      Third party certification of organization's management system that uses a continual improvement approach in achieving and demonstrating sound environmental performance. This means that organizations control the impacts that their activities, products, and services have on the environment.
    • ŸŸISO9001:2008 (QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
      Third party certification of organization's management system that focuses on the achievement of results in relation to the quality objectives to satisfy the needs, expectations, and requirements of interested parties, as appropriate.
    • ŸŸINTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS, OHSAS, EMS)
      Third party certification of organization's different management systems such as the Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
    • ŸŸŸINTERNATIONAL SHIP AND PORT FACILITY SECURITY CODE (ISPS) COMPLIANT
      Department of Transportation and Communications-Office for Transportation Security (DOTC-OTS) certification of the port facility security management system pursuant to the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code requirements.
