Petromar XC 5540 is a 55 BN (base number), SAE 40 oil especially designed for the lubrication of new generation and highly rated trunk piston diesel engines in severe service burning residual fuels. Petromar XC oils are formulated to tolerate contamination with residual fuel, as experienced in some installations, without deterioration of its excellent anti-wear properties and viscosity control while maintaining superior engine cleanliness.
